QVscribe for Polarion - Getting started

After QVscribe is Installed

Making sure the environment is setup to allow for QVscribe to display

Go to your Polarion environment and open up a requirements document. First thing to check if QVscribe is not automatically found in the document, make sure your Work Item Properties are set correct.

QVscribe needs to have Status added to the work item list, the status field will need to have "Show in Sidebar and Document" selected with the Show at, to the bottom right corner and "Render as" set to "Icon & Text"

New Requirement:

When creating a new requirement:

  • Software requirements: QVscribe icon will display at the bottom right of the description field, when editing the score will auto update.   
  • System requirements: QVscribe will be displayed after the requirement has been created in the description field, when editing the score will auto update.   

Things to check:

  • In Work Item, If requirement status is not in draft, then the requirement cannot be edited via the QVscribe tool: 
     
  • In the "Documents and Pages" section if requirements are placed into review or any state that is not Draft the same is as above, the requirement will be locked and cannot be edited from within QVscribe:

How to run a QVscribe document analysis:

At the top of a document list, the QVscribe document analysis button will appear

Upon clicking on this you will have the entire document analyzed and this is where you can see your scores, requirements and generate a report:
